Put a cap on is all well and good if you are on a day rate as u said on 200 a day but if your on price work its totally up to you how much u want to do .any plasterer worth his sod know how long a job will take him.and knows how much he wants out of it it up to you then to decide your time line on the job .ie. If u want 300 a day u work that bit more if happy with 200 the slow down a bit .as i said u will know your price and time allowed for each rate .as for other trades saying why did u do so much whats it got to do with them what u do thats your business.so yea on a day rate 200 and a certin meterage fine but on price its your call
 
Photo, driving licence, scrub out sensitive stuff. Don't hide first name or date of birth. Take picture next to trowel.you can do it on your phone.

That’s exactly why we are where we are!
Keep smashing it and think no one will notice it or raise the question when you book weeks money ,for the office workers ,in a day. If you think that ..... you are naive as f**k. That type of thinking actually is driving us to the bottom and unfortunately there is not much we can do. There will always be someone who does 15 bags a day and someone who does 4 bags a day, but make no mistake , the price will be formed
Around the 15 bags superman as you are not the only one on the branch and definitely not the winner in long term.

keep smashing it ,12 bags a day is hardly smashing it .my price for skimming as already said on here is between 6.50 and 8 euro a meter depending on the job .i will not go below that to get a job 'some lads yea do more and some less but if your telling me a plasterer knocking out 4 bags a day is worth 200 a day your living on a cloud .i work for 4 different builders they know my prices ,im not going to lower prices for the sake of work ,and as for the office worker what have they got to do with anything do i get bank holidays .holiday pay.and so on ,and during the recession were the office workers worried about the plasterers i doubt it some how

It's good work in and around Dublin. I could believe a plasterer may get up to 400 per day there. Not so good elsewhere.

Tell u the rest of the country not far behind theres alot of 1 off new builds going on they cant get no one to do them .yea dublin is booming but u can make just as much doing theses and less hassel of site work .this boom is not going to last we learned that lesson well .so for now make as much as we can

The stock markets are crashing now as predicted but come March if Brexit goes ahead then the EU will start to implode whatever happens to UK. Basically Ireland which has no real economy except what Multinationals give it. So it will just fall apart. There wont be much building work then.

I think some Irish people realise this so they are cautious. Remember the last boom and bust? Everybody told you what would happen but you ignored it. You are just moments away from it going pear shaped now but for different reasons this time.

But your earning more than 400 a day by your calculations so why go to dub
