Why is is Called a Hawk?

Irish plasterers call it a hawk , so hawk it is :flapper:

And im in the midlands. To be fair my mate calls it a handboard and we've had this chat a few times over the years. Always put it down to him being a ****.

Ancient Egyptians were the first to call it a hawk. As you hold it the way you would the bird.
