HI Guys

There is plenty of talk about how to deal with cavity closers and I don't want to raise it again. But I have been looking all over and with no joy trying to find a video of someone dot and dab window head and revel.

Anyone know of any videos showing dab window revels?

Thanks

Not sure what your asking here Taylor (welcome along by the way :RpS_thumbsup:) but then I am a little drunk, please elaborate. Normally I just dab over cavity closers but then I am a little drunk

no you're a very tall drunk

Thanks, I am just interested in finding a video on different methods and routines others use for window reveals in general. There seems to plenty of skimming videos, a few dot and dab (some very iffy) but can not find any on actually plasterboarding window reveals.

Can't see why you need a vid to dab reveals I've had trouble with the new type which stretch right across the reveal making them flexible but I just pepper em with clout nails an seems to work I also spread quite a bit of addy down them first it strengthens them up then just dab as normal

Not a lot to it really just dab it on! Some of the cheap closers can be a bit flimsy so plenty of dab. The closers on newbuild are about the best as they come as pre formed frames and get built in.

If they're not fitted right just rip 'em out & hide them in an empty bag!

As for the smooth steel above the window, a thin smear of bonding compound prior to dabbing usually prevents it falling down.

Cheers guys, have a new gaffer onsite and it seems the way things have been done he has to question and I was just looking for a video to show him.
He now questioning if painted thermolit blocks should be 5 to 1 pva and dried first, before dot and dab. I might open another thread and try and post a picture
