WTF is going on n with multi-finish

i switched back to board finish about a year ago after i had the same thing happening to me with multi never been happier

Thats how my day started. Was only a double bedroom skim should have been at pub by 1. Ended up there til 2 with the ceiling shite then the gear playing up. Hence the rant.

You seem to be the only one who hasn’t noticed this over the years.. so I suggest you start getting a bit more on cause you’ve made yourself look a fool.

It’s not an opinion you waffle. It’s a fact. Some have noticed it and some haven’t.

You’ll find statistically the people who use more gear are more likely to experience this issue.

Then theres the rough c**ts who don’t even notice as its just a bag of dust..

Multi is abit hit and miss for me too mateBut now I Just put on smaller sets and turn them round quicker or wack some dabbing in it so it’s nice and creamy. Keep a sponge handy just incase. Works wonders if the sets getting away from me

It’s definitely bad batches 100% as I was on a job today where there is till multi from last time i was there and it was completely normal.

Have you tried board finish ? A few here recommend it even for re-skims..

Board finish is good. To me it leaves a slightly better finish but you lose a little working time one it compared to the multi
 
Interesting this as I’ve always thought dab feels like nice gear when I’ve filled gaps in board lol. Been half tempted to chuck a wall on with pure dab #wildspread

Seen it done , whole bag of adhesive mixed in with a bag of easifill and half a bottle of fairy liquid. It went over an artex ceiling by an old school dry liner

My mate always dubs out , chases blown bits etc with dab and adhesive, hangs around and nice to use
 
When we do it . By a hand ful a bag were using both hands . Never in second coat . A old plasterer told me to try it and seem to work for us just dont ask me s ience behind it as i.ve not got a clue
