Just to give you a scenario

You have a day off work and come in the next and another spread who you do know tells you he used your tools and tried out your trowel and it he liked it ...would this bother you

Mate you'd be no good on our jobs!

I'm lucky if I get through day without something being borrowed or broken!
I don’t mind borrowing the odd tool out but only to someone I like, DEFINITELY not any trowels though, they are far too precious!
With tools it’s gotta be “if you bend it you mend it”.

'Borrowing' tools without asking? It would only happen once.

It's an absolutely inviolable rule, you never touch another person's tools without asking first.

Don't leave your tools on site then a scum bag plasterer can't use them

I would occasionally swop my plastic refina with my mate.
Not my laying on trowel. Too precious
As for strangers taking anything . No chance

Had another spread asked to borrow a trowel on a job i was on as his was under a pile of rubbish in the back of his van.
My answer was NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

It was just a general question Andy g my tools are alright ....promise lol
OK mate on a job once, plasterer said u have a spare hand board, now I usually say duck off no plasterer has even helped me, but I said yes u can have mine and I will. Make a wooden one as I was dotting will duck me. It came back to me like a new pin,

I would laugh about it but we be really pissed off, take photos of all of his tools and van eBay them with collection from the site you're workingon.

Ffs I hate guys like that and would never pick anyone else’s up either , I’d never need too , my cousin keeps trying to get me to use his stupid refina spat thing every time I have a speedskim in my hands I shout ffs man why the hell would I want to try that when I got this you prat

if i ever wanted anything i would just go and buy it but i have on occasions caught someone using one of my trowels as a scraper and it pisses me right off, that cost me over £50 and is 5 years old and your scraping the floor with it,as they say a good runner will always beat a good fighter ,so you had better start running because i am both.
