"you can't sand multi" - you can

Why is it people say this? After my efforts of plastering I have had a few marks here and there, nothing terrible but kinda what you would expect from an amateur. Before I painted everything I gave these a light sand and they came out fine. Just wondered why people say this? or is it just for...

    Slope Ceiling Join

Alright guys. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/30346879/plaster_angle.JPG After the boards are butted together along the join do you just run scrim tape and then skim? Do you try and cut the plasterboard at an angle to reduce the gap? Also, is it the same method for an outer join?

This is in the hallway, it feels almost solid and is littered with cracks. Any suggestions on how to attack it? I take it screeding the whole wall is not an option

    patching a crack after plastering

I recently skimmed a chimney breast and a 1 meter long crack line has appeared, i know that the crack has formed above where the original plaster has met the patching I did with bonding prior to skimming. Sure fellow plasterers have had this kind of hairline crack appear before. Do i sand over...

    lathe patch up

I am going to skim the whole wall but first I need to sort out this: the socket is a spur. Not sure how secure the socket is going to be in the lathe plaster? I'm guessing that it was pulled out fo the wall prevously as it was not secure.. so I think i'll just move the spur elsewhere in...
