I've been using the Nela Plasticflex and I find it so much better, easier to use, less effort and keeps it nice and flat as you go. Of course this is only my opinion. What do u think of this plastic trowel any diffrent ? Used one last week can't say ther is or I'm doing something wrong lol
Do u use it to put the second coat on or just use it to finish off?I've been using the Nela Plasticflex and I find it so much better, easier to use, less effort and keeps it nice and flat as you go. Of course this is only my opinion.

If be doing that and if notice u don't need much water and finish is better do u find that?I use it to put the second coat on mate, gear goes on better and flatter.
In my opinion as it keeps it flatter when applying second coat you don't have to lay it down so much and yes better finish for sure.If be doing that and if notice u don't need much water and finish is better do u find that?

Totally agree, I know people who only use it to lay down the 2nd coat with it, people who put 2nd coat on with it and people who like yourself Danny use it for the final sweeps. Everyone works different and find different ways that works for them. It's all about trial and error really. Like Danny said he uses it for final sweeps and I use it to second coat, I find that works best for me but then maybe different for you carys.I dont lay on with a plastic trowel only use it for the final wipes (everyone has different ways of doing things)

Again all down to personal preference and what works for you. I personally use a 16" but I find that works for me this may not be the case for othersWhat would be a good size? 14 inch I guess?

This is the problem with some of these tools,,,,,flex,, trowels, plasticReally wouldn't recommend using these for nowt but final trowel when plasterers proper firmed up . Can scratch plaster and don't get ye wall flat like a steel trowel. The blades are to flexi to get it as flat as steel . Looks the business until painted

Right take from me plastic is fantastic whichever make it is , here is perfect example from one of the best plasterers in how to flatten and finish with plastic, although he only puts on with steel
Welcome to the future, wheels keep on turning
