i swear by silver scrim, its all ill use now its a lot stronger so dosnt fray as much, like all scrim though it dosnt get properly adhesive until half down the roll! transtools does the best price around as seen in the previous post, its summat like 6 or 7 quid down the merchants

if you wear glasses or contacts i cant see it being a problem, heights not a problem, thats why god invented ladders, hop ups and for the more adventurous of us, stilts.

my first mix always goes on the spot board cos it needs to be on quick and the second i just take out of the bucket, theres no real reason why i do this, probably just cos im lazy and cant be arsed cleaning the spot twice!

i always tend to work to chalk line for accuracy, it takes a while and is a bit novice like but i'd be gutted if i got round the room and id dropped a bit, the nails to hold it in place is a good tip as well, ive had a bit come down on me head before, soul destroying

ya can get a little bag of them from wickes quite cheap as well if i recall right, you just add as much as you need to the first mix

i have the same problem with the b&q cr@p i always go for the wickes stuff its reasonably priced and goes the distance

i usually put plaster "tearing" down to the pva beneath being too wet mate

yeah it works, you need to do when its tacky so it increases the adhesion of the scrim and when its gone off it just holds it there

anyone got a quick sum for working out the amount of materials needed when using S&C, theres gotta be an easier way than my current guestimation technique
