Straight skimming over green moisture boards

You can but have to PVA it first. Pointless using moisture board if it's getting plastered, defeats the point.

    Rounded external corners

It's not possible by using the membrane system as You'll void the guarantee by using another system but if that doesn't bother you as follows; You'll have to make form from a template of the original bullnose. Then board short on the corners, use renderlite or equivalent on the corners and run...

Best way to support sagging old ceiling

I wouldn't go down the mesh route as your just adding extra weight to an already shot substrate. It's a lot of extra time to try saving the detail in the centre of the ceiling so cut around the perimeter to save the cornice and pull the old lathe down then re plasterboard and plaster. You could...

    Is this bad plastering?

Really early too, he'll knock you out of bed at 07:00 you'll notice he has softer skin than most tradesmen. FYI he gets some bloke to jizz on both his and imaginary girl friend's faces, the protein good for the skin apparently.

I understand that, and have expressed in various other posts little respect and confidence in our Politicians, Banks, Legal System etc. The point I'm making is that yes ours is far from perfect but alot better than the Majority of other Countries in the world. The bloke's a nob Andy if he opened...

I couldn't agree more with them statements. The point I'm making is that since you disagree with everything about our country, from services provided to you - taxes etc go somewhere else and see if you prefer them. I bet you don't.

1960s property with thermoplastic floor tiles and no DPC

If it's the floor tiles most companies used in the 60's they will contain Asbestos that has used a bitumen adhesive. Floor tiles will have to be removed by a specialist company first. Once that is done you have 2 options; 1. Black jack or similar alternative, 2 coats all Floor and base of walls...

    A mesh question

Looks like it's a mixture of bonding and something else adhesive possibly? It hasn't been beaded up on the corner, are you sure he's finished? I'd imagine his intention is to bead up and plaster it with multi.

It's because the law deters us from helping now, by intervening it will probably end in contact and injuries, it's easier for the police to charge you and make money from a fine than charge some smack head that has sweet fa. New Tools to buy? And more

Tried few different methods, ct1 pboard in Web dab out from there, 3" x 2" or 4" x 2" same as roof batten method, but I find roof battens (red ones 50 x 25 mm) work the best as hammer in flush with edges of rsj, tack a pboad onto them the double it up with another pboard. 9 out of 10 times the...

It's a great idea, but i set my noggins at 400mm centres and £3:50 each that's going to cost a few quid. Like it but I'll stick to using roofing battens cutting them a few mm longer and hammering them in thanks.

To renew whole bay will be expensive but best option. If the existing is sound just trim back damage area then fit new building paper/ membrane, fix new stainless steel eml, then use hp12 or an OCR to patch in render. Don't try to do it in one coat (it'll sag / look shite) do it in 2-3, prick/...

    What is going on here?

Brown could be old wallpaper or plasterboard, looks like a textured coating which likely has asbestos containing materials in it. If its solid enough around it just use easyfill and blend it in for a quick fix. If its shelling get it tested.
