Are you sure its damp and not condensation pal as the living conditions dont really effect rising damp.. I would always recomend a piv fan... It brings clean air into the property and puts it under postive pressure.....
I had this issue before i got into plastering, they said it would be deducted but as far as i was concerned what was the odds of them finding it as their fault????? So i just put that money to the repair....
Cant tell without knocking it off but it has to come off no matter what... Remove the plaster, treat the substrate with an anti salt solution, inject dpc, render with water resistant render, skim, skirt.....
Damp sam knows his stuff but im not a fan of his express system when he sticks boards onto the wall with caulk and foam...........he Has bloody props going from one side of the room to the other....
I have been using the trowel now for the last few days...as usual with nela trowels its well made and comfortable in the hand .its nice and rigid when putting on, the only negative is probably down to personal preference, the blade is too flat for me, a new perma shape has a slight bend in it...
Exactly... No matter how good the cream is dot and dab is not compatible because it does not control the salts... So is the wrong way of re-plastering...
I agree the trigger could be better but i have no real issue with it... If it splashes to much then you need to alter your bucket so the paddle is full submerged... I have a 1 bagger, 2 bagger and a 3... I have no real issue with splashing....
Im no expert bud, just use common sense ...lol... I was on my arse for money so i dug a hole about 4ft deep, put a plastic bin in the hole with lots of 6mm holes in it and put a sump pump in with a float switch..... I ran the outlet through the kitchen cabinets and out into the drain.... It...
They did half a job then....lol... My 1st house was the same, bought it in summer and the sub cellar was bone dry.... Come winter it had a foot of standing water...
Correct answer... Dot and dab is for new builds and not refurbishment work.... Just dabbed a lounge at cutomers request but injected it then sand and cement rendered it to 1.2m 1st with added sbr....
Yeah the stuff i get is unbranded, quality is ok to be honest... Only use it on the corners and normal butter them up 1st as they can crinkle up and show through...
I agree, if the gaps are that small and fiddly they customer will be told before hand that they will have to be boxed in or striped away from the wall.....
A 1-1 sbr mix is too strong in my opinion as it will kill all the suction... I think pva would be fine.... 1 coat at 4-1 and let it dry then a 2nd coat at 2-1 and skim whilst sticky....
It feels more powerful , its 3 speed controlled by your thumb on the handle( no gear selector) has a faster top speed and the paddle is quite agresive......
