I refuse cheques now.
It's either cash, bank transfer or I whip out my chip and pin machine it's great when customers say they not been to the bank and only have a card :)
I had a lad I caught smoking weed at work I sacked him he didn't tell his dad who was a health and safety and risk assessment officer for the NHS then his dad tried to take me to court which I let go so far (costing him money)then asked him if smoking drugs was a instant sackable offence? He...
Screw driver and hammer finds the joists.
If I had a ceiling where they were 720 apart I would have ripped the lot down and put noggins in then counter crossed it with batten.
Book a training course and ask them to pay you to learn there product or system (you know the answer).
Asking another spread show you how to do something and then have the cheek to say you want paying is shocking IMO.
I'm sure your original post should have said your 13 and live in a new...
I've had customers who have moved into houses and had all ceilings replaced scared that there kids are being exposed to asbestos because survey reports when they bought house have said artex has a trace and that's all.
Rule of thumb is that you can cover but not expose/disturb
Anyone that knows or works with asbestos or been on a course says that!!! there is a tiny amount of asbestos in artex and it's not the bad bad type (even though it all is in reality) they always say for insurance reasons not to tamper but just to cover.
Asbestos was still used very widely in a...
Why don't they try and contact the ex forces that they paid to train in the plastering trade after they left and let them give something back. Can't be that hard to go through the records as see who they sent on a 6 week course and call themselves plasterers.
I can't see it being around for long but can see it working well with right knowledge and skills but think BG will get slated by the DIY market and them getting to much hassle then pull it from the shelves
Oh and btw when I fired it up between coats it was to get the cracks to expose and make sure it wouldn't crack before the top coat went on not just to feed our faces :)
Started with 2 coats bucket gauged at 5-1 with febmix then top coat 4-1 all had a handful of grit thrown in for a little bit of body.
that white fire board at bottom is great to fix your mesh onto and start wrapping then just use snips to cut shapes and tie together with wire
I've not had a system of there's fail on me yet!!!
although I was spraying with Monojet but will be with Ritmo on this one with Monojet spraying the bigger panels and higher lifts. I have there latest price list for beads and render if you want it
Yes I agree paying for a course is bad of any company if your using there product but it's a very small price at £80 is what I was getting at.
And pricing is a tough one I priced a job £512k was my biggest ever I needed involvement from surveyors, outside agents and product company.
It's wasn't...
I spoke with a rep yesterday £80 for a 2 day course in Birmingham. I have to price a sto job and they limit applicators to areas with that they give you leads and help you on pricing. In my opinion it's worth the 80 just to be able to price for the works I know 2 days off work travel and hotel...
