2016 Highlights and lows

Highlights of my year was getting my house completely finished after 9 months and on Thursday I've got an on site assessment for the course I've been studying for months on the railway. Pick up a brand new Mercedes company van next week then I'm burning everything to do with plastering that I own.
 
As with any year, the highs don't seem that high until a bit of time has passed, and the lows seem lower until a bit of time has passed. There will be highs and lows again next year, and the world will keep turning. (y)

High was working on a gaff 700ft above sea level
Low was working on a gaff 30ft above so level..

High's: recruited some of the best off here for the Circle of Trust.
Low's:Lodan's skimming and that plum BG Vince
 
High was getting all the work I've gotten all year. Lows were fell out with few friends and family over work. Everything changed when I became the boss and had to stand my ground on a few issues. Another low was busting my balls out for this Cple for s**t money. Was actually doing them a favour looking after them, they put s**t loads of extras on, I stuck to my day rate but added 12 euro a day diesel and everything changed. You'd think I was standing with a mask on collecting my money they carried on. Another issue still not resolved with them is 1500 I don't have in the book as getting of them. Either I've madeca mistake or theyre stroking me. Reason why I'm not to sure is around this time, I was running about with 5-6k in my pocket for 6 weeks and can't remember them actually handing it over. They joys of having all that work on :(
 
high, when a chap knocked on our door to tell me that another pension plan that i had forgot about, which i had taken out at 18 years old,and run for a few years had matured.nice little 30 k present. another high, when 2 of my sons sons tell me they have earned enough money and are going to retire this year.

low , catching a chest infection last week.
 
Another good year with the ritmo.............(y)
Another Apprentice with no common sense who will have me in an early grave with stress. Also, the Toon having a year off the PL with maternity leave..............:llorando:
 
Work has been a piece of cake this year !



Highs .... 19yrs for karma to come back around ! Finally:)

Lows having a non paying Tennant
Grrr !

He demonstrates the newer plasters. I think you'll find he's finished his apprenticeship now . A few years ago too
 
High: quitting office job and going back to working for myself, early much much better then g4s wages.

Low: going back to working for myself and realising I probably will never be able to afford to buy a house :(

Still prefer actually making something nice then sitting at a computer taking 150 calls a day and controlling dopey ambulance drivers all day (non emergency ones). And looks like I have a fair bit of work in pipeline for Jan/Feb already so that could be a good start.
