I'm always puzzled by that comment, "most people on here are decent at what they do", or similar. Why would we assume that?Project manager sounds just as much a clown as the plasterer. Chances are he’s had a nice drink off the “plasterer” to keep him sweet.!
Most the people on here are decent at what they do, I’m sure there is someone that would take on the job and do it well. Project manager has probably read a book once and now feels he can build the Eiffel Tower so sack that t**t off, get your own plasterer and take the last one to court

That's f**k**g horrible but you've brought this on yourself.Hi everyone, your advice is needed, please.
I have had someone to re-skim my 1980s house. I have never done this before so I have no idea what I am looking for.
However, I am not happy with some of the work what I feel is quite terrible. Holes, pimples, ridges, bumps are in the walls and ceiling, artex is still showing in the ceiling. I called the plasterer back to fix the problem, but he said the quality is fine, everyhouse would see imperfections in the dark and I am being too picky. He also said it's me to creat those ridges and ripples by handsanding. I only use 120-grit and 180-grit sandpapers for sanding some of the areas before mist coat, which I think is impossible. Some of the areas are even worse, so I just stop sanding and painting...
Am I right in thinking it's a bad plastering job? What is the best solution to fix all the problems?
Any feedback is appreciated.
Cos anyone I’ve ever passed anything to/met/seen work of that is a regular on here has been decent.I'm always puzzled by that comment, "most people on here are decent at what they do", or similar. Why would we assume that?
Before you take anyone to court make sure that they have some collateral , do they own a property? if you win a court case you can put a charge on their property which can not be removed until you receive your payment.Thank you for your advice. I have already given the project manager/plasterer a deadline and I will definitely take them to court.
Get them both sued, they deserve it !Thank you for your advice. I have already given the project manager/plasterer a deadline and I will definitely take them to court.
Can I ask why the internal corners keep cracking in my bedroom, please? I patched and sanded the internal corners quite a lot upstairs to make it look straight, but now large cracks appeared on the side where the external walls of the property are.
Unfortunately, the project manager is now sided with the plasterer and said it's my fault.
He knows ultimately he fails his resposibility to oversee the whole project and want to avoid all the problems at all cost.
I can’t get my head around a project manager saying that’s fine? Was said manager on drugs?
You aren't getting a penny back from that. Chancers that do that sort of shite are just signing on. No proper trade and just don't care as long as they have their beer/drug money.
Lesson learned!
Ey up pal.Nice to see you back

Wow that’s absolutely shocking how can people like that call themselves a plasterer whatever you do don’t pay him that’s an absolute disaster it should look like the pictures I’ve putHi everyone, your advice is needed, please.
