Aero-Therm Interior energy reflective products

it was never the chemical companies that said 30 years ,back in the day it was 10 years ,but with Damp proof companies trying to out do each other with advertising it just went up and up
I know firms offering life time guarantees on damp work, the bigger the lye the more believable :) I might even offer a life time guarantee on this gear :) just the same as 15 in my eyes

The damp proofing industry has to be one of the biggest cons for the last 40 years ans they are still going strong with all the guarantees they offer.

there was a time when building soc. wanted a dpc guarantee when they issued a mortgage.
the last few dpc contracts that we carried out have done before and failed. with the original contractor nowhere to be seen.

Most customers hate spending money so it's never going to take off
I've no doubt some might want it but not many for me
Ryan certainly has ambition although still wet behind the ears in the construction game

Customers hate paying out for sh*t workmanship.

What does anyone think is really gonna happen in 15 years? if you do get a call in February 2031 what ya gonna say? If it is what it is the difference should be straight away by putting your hand on it, the same as if you skimmed the wall the customer will know straight away if it's smooth, they are not gonna ring you back in 15 years with a complaint.
They 100% will if its cost them £10k for 8 external walls to have a fancy skim coat & you've gave them something saying it'll last 15yrs. If it fails ur phone call number 1. doesn't matter if its not your fault you'll be getting calls until your round there

At the end of the day if the customer didn't want to lose space or have the disruption of D&D/battening and insulated plasterboard. Then this would be a serious option. On some walls where you have cornicing for example, to re instate it may cost a fortune and this would be a cheaper option, providing it lives up to the claim of 35%...which I highly doubt...it's upto so probably more like 15%. I cant see it being as good as putting 30mm celotex onto the wall.

Problem is some plasterers on here are to shortsighted/thick to realise the potential. Can lay on all day long but when it comes to actually using their brains on the technical side....

£7k for cash then

Being honest i know naff all anyway so it'd be as daft to listen to me as it would be to believe in the 15yr guarantee on most products.

In your mind ,multi billion business ,but as we all know on here ,your always right ,your bat your ball ! LONG LIVE MONO !! lol xx
Lol until I'm proven wrong xxxx it's not as if I lock the thread with my final answer is it? And is that the royal we? :)

If you are paying the kind of money involved in this product quality control would be a big factor. After all we are not talking a regular household name here. This stuff has been around nearly ninety years , up to now to saucey for any other than NASA etc. what garuntee have we on percentage of fairy dust and who can even tell the difference, we could very easily find ourselves in an emperors new clothes scenario.

So what are the alternatives to this gear? IWI or EWI and that's it or maybe knock your house down and rebuild. Are the costs for this cheaper? Is the disruprion less? The problem is it looks so easy a bit like a card trick even to F*****g easy to be true. What's it cost a metre? I'm not even sure and I don't care coz it's got to be cheaper than the two alternatives, or am I wrong?

Ryan already said £35-45m2

I haven`t got a house, surely theres some other way to do it if somebody got a house?
You may do a bulk order, an artic load, 33 pallets will cost you 100 quid a pallet for shipping at a push from Eastern Europe, plus the gear. Rent a shipping container stock it there, put up a sign "Flynny`s warm hut" you`d make a killing becoming a supplier of cheap good quality insulation products. You may as well stock Aero-Therm as well, so people can pick and mix

Supply and fit is between £45-75 m2

If the contractor chooses £45 the margin is still very good. Not a figure I will put on here but will happily inbox you guys the figures to see.

EWI supply and fit goes up to £120.00 pm2

Ryan without trying to sound a dick is there just 1 product? If so why the massive difference in ur guide of 45-75? Its normal for render systems to vary because of the range of materials/specs but isn't this just 1 product 1 thickness? Everyone charges what they want essentially but if theres a good mark up at £45 why the extra £30 on top if not just for pure profit? Is the £75 london rate and £45 barnsley?

Yes, just the one product. The reason for this exactly I'm not sure as this has been advised by Aero-Therm and applicators themselves.

I know of local guys to me and guys up North doing £60 per m2 and others happy with £45 or £50. I would imagine it's just showing the range of prices people are charging

The same goes for a metre rate on anything it's what you can get away with. Doesn't matter where you are I suppose and if it's council or NHS money you can probably triple it its all down to the sell. You have took the high end price and gone with it but it is lower so if we was to go with the lowest figures it may look good. The same goes for Venetian some are selling it at £60m some at £260 a metre it all depends on the job and the client. The same goes for mono, EWI, IWI and so on.

My son used to build websites and he was doing one for a friend of mine who has a carpet company. No prices were allowed on the site against any of the flooring they sold because non of the manufacturers would allow it because the price is what is negotiated between the seller and the buyer.
