sleep with a pillow between your legs to relive the pressure on your spine.................preggers women swear by it

I've been doing this as well, only problem is every time the baby wakes I leap out of bed as if there's a burglar in the house , pillow falls away and I'm too half asleep to remember to put it back in....maybe a couple of bungee cords will do the trick

Ollie, just stick a pillow under your back where it naturally arches. Ten minutes every couple of hours :RpS_thumbup:

Thats exactly what my physio said after looking at my mri scan, lower back is too straight. coupled with bulging L4L5 disc and weakened gluts.

To be honest ,it,s my Dads ,think he paid about £400 for it ,but it really sorts it out :RpS_thumbsup:

you can make your own for much less Keith :RpS_thumbsup:

I didnt notice to be honest bud. I've been planking, doing my physio exercise, watching my diet , maintaining good posture, trying to strengthen my core blah blah blah and yet still me sciatica has come back with a vengeance. I have been in constant pain and am at a loss. pain killers dont seem to have any effect on it at all any more. I bought an inversion table yesterday and had my first go on it. Instant pain relief, the best I have felt for months. hopefully this is going to work, I have tried everything else. Its like having the worst toothache ever but in your arse cheek and then once every hour or so you are treated to mind blowing cramp :RpS_cursing: will keep updated about the inversion table :RpS_thumbsup:

The inversion table is a god send used to use mine for 5 min at a time but it has been stored in the garage for quite a while now as it needs a bit of space but I might get it out again just need to make space for it

Hope it works well for you olican :)

I need to try this!my back gives me problems at night in bed, have to sleep with pillows under my legs a more than usual under my head an upper back still painful and aches but if I dont use the pillows I wake up after a couple of hours so stiff that I cant get out of bed!have to roll onto my side(painfully)and literally fall out of bed:RpS_unsure:

I get severe pain and I have tried most things, not everything works for everyone and even though it's early days the inversion table has given me the best relief so far. £80 of Amazon, best money I've spent. Been in agony all morning , 10 mins on the table and feel right as rain now.

That looks good, sort of stretches the back - uncompressing the vertebrae?
I've had back pain for years since I lifted a fountain into someone's pick-up when I was a teenager working at a garden centre
Back pain & planking
Like this. You can't bend your legs lifting the bottom section.

Can't lay on my back on anything flat like a stack of plasterboards as my lower back hurts too much.

A tens machine helps, had one at my disposal when my ex (of many years ago) was pregnant with my first and I had to sleep on the living room floor in a sleeping bag! Only way I could get to sleep. She was a cow..

Lower back is hurting now as it happens as I was babysitting my kids and slept on the sofa till 5 this morning. After that I went straight round t my gf's for a bit of 'traction' :RpS_thumbup:. Still needed some painkillers though.. No doubt tomorrow I'll be in pain as I'm skimming a ceiling.

Looks similar to mine ....the only difference I can see is that the back board on mine is the full length.

Jumping on the post any tips for tennis elbow. Killing me today
Yes. Use smaller handled trowels, don't stretch out your arm to your work, move your whole body closer to the work as much as you can.
An exercise that some workmates and I found helpful is to hold your arm almost straight, tense the forearm muscles WITHOUT closing your hand. This takes a little practice but you will soon get better at it. Tense the muscles for 10 seconds. Rest for a few seconds and go again or just do it at odd moments throughout the day.
This works by working all the forearm muscles against each other to bring them back into balance

Some what of a strange thing but after using for a couple of days you should hopefully see how it works ..
Look it up on Google or YouTube to see what it's all about I think its about £20 / 25
Its not an instant fix but can help I think
