Batons with hop-ups???

Yes I see that makes sense,I have not been established as long as you,I'm not cheap by any means but probably haven't found my place in the market yet as you have.if I just have a ceilng to do I will price the day and just get in and crack on with it and be home by lunch,as I get older I may take a different approach more similar to yours but as it stands I do ok and I'm happy.:RpS_thumbup:

I bet u dont put a full day in ..... Money wise a mean ....
 
soooooooooooo....anyways....back to my original question how does using just the 1 plank on 2 hop ups/crates etc any better than just a hop up????:RpS_confused:

The only difference is you can trowel trowel through. One end two other. That's only difference mate. Hope that answers your question.

When I first started out on my own I i was naive as is anyone new to sole trading,I would feel bad and didn't want to charge people a days money for half a days work,I thaught I was doing them a favour,I soon learned my lesson,I stopped treating customers as like we were becoming friends an started to treat them like I'm a shop keeper,no emotional connection to the customer and the price labeled is non negotiable,so to answer your question...I bloody well do charge them for the day!!!

i recon until that stage in the set though actualy slower and worse for you back than a hop up alone...hay ho:RpS_unsure:

Anyway heard some people say they use 2 hop ups or crates and just the 1 plank...

Been toying with trying as my back is broken and lids kill me!

What I cant understand though unless im being really thick is how that would work out any better???

Because if you for example use/ have the plank running parallel with the ceiling edge your pulling from and then either go round all ceiling lines/fill in middle or typewriter method...surley your only the same as on a step as you cant move your feet which is bad for your back???

likewise if working along them length ways your still having to move them over as much as you would an hopup but just more awkward???

Am I missing summet???

speedscam pole with trowel attachment doesn't come with trowel. :RpS_unsure: You just get the pole with Erginomic handle , check out wwww.speedscam.com for more info :RpS_lol:
 
Employ a midget and just walk about with him on your shoulders you could just keep feeding him with gear while he slaps it on :razz:

they make my legs ache bud...and just irritate my calfs its like I cant wait to take them off from the moment I put them on sadley...plus I like to try and do other tasks inbetween trowels ie bead up pva etc

yeah id be up for that if it works I use the speedskim with the grey blade at mo then switch back to the trowel would be nice if you could use for the full process of troweling up:RpS_thumbup:
