I use old suspended ceiling t bar, works a treat.

Yes, depth gauge beads. Should be able screed it and achieve the same results. If the brick work is off you can plumb dot it before you screed it.

I used them depth beads years ago on toilet areas in s&c . There like thin metal stud fuk knows if you can still get them . If not as above use screeds

they all talk like that but when you tell them the price they soon change their mind.

Done quite a bit of floating lately by setting dots of PB and making screeds of these. Just bought an 8’ feather edge to make it easier as doing another couple of walls this way this week.

Screeds and sand and cement . Much easy'r to use and get plumb imo.

Surely you don't need a bead to get a wall flat and level!

What I do whether its hardwall or sand and cement is do 1 coat and scratch it. Then run screeds across wall, level. Second coat then rule off screeds.
