I wish mate, dont earn no more than the average spread really.

I spend most work days subbying for a bloke so the moneys not amazing but its constant work so the moneys always there, all the money from the jobs I do for myself goes to one side because you never know.

I'm hoping to go it alone February next year though and earn the right sum of money 5 days a week not 7 days plus evenings.

I'll never moan about weekends or.evenings as that's what got.me some very good contacts over the years but they give me more and more work I need to be able to give them more of my time!

I done years of weekends and evenings but over the last year I started to not do them and I was a sucker for saying yes I will do them then when time came I felt gutted money was handy but I missed time with my boy and as he got older and more into football we go do that it's ironic that I'm a Gooner and my ex family his mum all Charlton I took him Arsenal and he didn't wanna upset his mum they never took him to games so I got me and him season tickets and now we go most away games as we'll be honest I really value that time with him and feel I missed out n loads with him so shows it's not always money that is important but just that time with them he won't remember the 60 quid trainers but he will remember that cold December day at a crap away ground with his dad

Sod it , if the money is there for the taking and you okay doing ,get it done I say, your right you never know what's round corner.

That's what I'm aiming for mate a happy medium.

Got 3 good contacts I can pick and choose from, a good handful of other ones that ring up at least once a week and obviously the bloke I subby for.

As said I'm aiming for a 5 day week with the equivalent to what I earn working 7 days a week plus the couple of evenings. Which we all know is more than possible especially with price work.

Ill still work the odd Saturday here and there but won't kill myself. I've spent the last 4 years working 6 days a week and 7 days some weeks especially in summer when things get manic for some reason so its second nature to me, I've missed out on things, had arguments with the misses, been tired, stressed etc but its all part of life the biggest stress for me is money that's why I've always knocked myself out for it but as said by doing that its got me out there to prove my worth to the trade. 4-5 years out my life to hopefully improve it for the rest of me and my family years I cant fault.

Ye but don't u think 5 days out if 7 is enough? Dint get me wrong sometimes wkends have to be done but not every wkend it isn't healthy..we started a 4 bedroom house on monday we finished it 2day we got 3 skimmers in to skim top floor and middle whilst we boarded full house and skimmed bottom floor..we got the lads in so we didn't have to work 2mz n Sunday as house needed to be completed..

Yes mate I agree but also remember when I was in 20's he can do it,plus not everyone gets top days dollar so until he sorted his own jobs fulltime he has to do what he got to do, no body gonna do it for us.
It's alright us saying put price up etc and f**k um if they don't wanna pay but not everyone is always in the position to do that,yet
