Have u sprayed with it? Do u work on ur own? Surely u can still bang 60m2 a day on by ursen and even that's £180 @ £3m2..

I can mate...but...I need it to be easier!
Theres two of us and I got an eze to make life easier not get more gear on. It's a five minute set up and a ten minute clean up.
If I get even lazier I'll get a mixing unit for it...
Of course then it comes in very handy for mono. ...
 
When you own a machine the thought of using a hawk and spot board seems ridiculous!!!
I was watching some guys rendering the other day and they we're scooping the gear out of a bucket onto there Hawks
This was on a big gable end!!!
Fook that.there backs will be knackered in a few years time

That's rendering tho bobby..id have a machine if I skimmed every day and that's all I did but I dnt just skim thank fck cudnt think of owt worse than just skimming..

Mist coat only ? Painting with airless is no no on site
 
That's bolloxs as loads of sites ive been on painters have sprayed..massive student appartments in Bradford 2 years ago,nursing home in Halifax and a load of appartments on another job to name a few..every room gets cleaned out then once sprayers are in nobody's getting bk in that room all taped off are the doorways etc
 
I used to have an airless paint sprayer until it died in last years floods. The finish is flawless! Far superior to a roller. Airless plaster then airless paint would be hell of a combination.

Airless paint Is class..goes to show really as it must be painters with there rollers that make it look s**t sometimes
 
No man on this earth can spread multi quicker by hand.
I'm working towards throwing my hawk away for good cos the day will come when machines take over, then all the handballers will be long gone wishing they'd got on it as well.
Could be what the trade needs as chancers ain't going to lay out for machines.

Well there spray it in sunny Yorkshire seen it with me own eyes..i know some have sprayed ceilings to a finish,sprayed mis coat then used roller on the walls,another job was fully done with the sprayer..not 1 roller touched the job
 
I first used airless for paint ten years ago it's great on big jobs, don't see point of it on one room domestic tho.
They can't be beaten for speed and quality in my opinion.

I bought mine about 8 years ago when i was over skimming a lot of full houses. Offered to finish ceilings and mist coat walls. Most went for it (y) didn't want to get involved with all that cutting in shite

Do you spray multi mate?
 
Tbh I can't remember the last time I used multi.The last full house we used mp which we sprayed the bulk of and handballed the rest.
Mostly busy with render and small extensions which don't warrant spraying.
 
Hi all, thanks for your comments on this.

We do not recommend spray application with Thistle MultiFinish for a number of reasons. When tested, we have seen over shelling off the wall and excessive cracking. We also have concerns that Thistle MultiFinish could clog machine feeds.

That said, we do appreciate the views expressed here, and could be willing to make some site visits to see how the product is being used in spray application.
