Bit of advice lads for expanding client base....

Well 1st "lead" comes in this morning.

£12.50 plus VAT to bid on a DPC.

Plaster around first floor of Terrence house 1 m up from floor level damp proofing an skimming to ceiling

Ill give that a miss :) Done loads of these over the years , ill know exactly the type of house and will no doubt be a family living in it. Nevermind all the pitfalls of working with DPC work, has to be done right or not at all.
Be some variation on prices :) No point in even bidding so thats a poor start.

John as a bit of advice for my builder...initial contact is free so try and always give dates your available and on smaller jobs a round about price saying you'll confirm on an in person quote if shortlisted......thatbway if they want it done yesterday for £70 you're out the running and dont get shortlisted and it doesnt cost you anything

Ah didnt know that , ok fair enough , worth sending a message

Yes you get to send a message and only pay if they shortlist...with a bit of relevant info at least you know your singing of the same hymn sheet and have a fair shot at the job....wont lie you do get the odd tyre kicker but thats just life I think....good luck with whatever you do.....think cornelius mentioned it but I had a few calls from cards on noticeboards at co op etc....and doesnt cost a penny
