Bonding to straighten out a concaved dot and dabbed wall?

f**k**g tilers . Summet anyone can do if you take your time and plan it out lol
Seen as everyone on here makes out there work is absolutely bang on, when someone says only 3-4mm out, that actually equates to 1/2 a f**k**g inch in reality! :D
Yes but if you think it to much and you can't do a decent job on it. You ask the plastrer to feather it out. not start and then complain to customer that the wall couple of mm out. I'd rather some one be straight whith me than give me a bad name becouse some just whant to cause trouble just about couple of mm that can be sorted in 10 minute by feathering out and il even get the line out if he whant it spot o But that time consume so extra money

Just a bit of fun mate, I’ve had a few beers :) x

Beer or nothing I've come across sober lads like this they know f**k all about the building trade when your time served 25 30 years and a tiler from collage gives s**t about couple of mm just get under skin

I can get over most things. What is important is that whoever is boarding is aware that their boarding is going to be tiled and the flatter the better. Should be obvious, but not always and some don’t give a f**k.

If a wall geting tiled I always try get straight I plum my screeds get the square out and line and I explain to customer it cost to get it bang on and if they don't whant to pay that couple of extra hours you might get that 3 4mm and then you got the trouble then of feathering in or butter your tile

It’s communication mate. I generally prepare walls before tiling so I’m aware of acceptable tolerances as there is only so much ‘notching up’ you can do. Its useful when spreads have some tiling knowledge, especially now when everyone wants large format porcelain fitted.

I’m lucky Norm in that most of the people I work with or sub to are aware of what needs to be done to get a good finished product in as painless a way as possible. I couldn’t be dealing with people that don’t give a s**t about the next trade in. None of us are perfect, but some people people do not give a s**t.

I agree with u pal to many don't give a f**k/ get the cash and f**k off

I know mate, that’s my point lol. I used
To give zombie s**t about claiming that mix when I first joined haha.

I do all sorts with artex. All depends. Sometimes just mix first up bit
Thicker is all it needs. Sometimes not too much bonding but never only a handful I cannot see the point in that.

On this job i just knocked up 5 bags of bonding no multi n covered all the artex. So can just pva n skim tomo. Cold walls so played it safe.
That couple of handfuls of bonding makes a massive difference. Makes it so much thicker and covers much easier, plus barely effects drying time and trowels up similar to multi
