i can see you are very upset and angry beddy , but you done the right thing , unfourtanetly there are people out there who think because we are self employed they can speak and treat us in a manner they would not do with there work colleagues or freinds , personally i am the same i take no grief of anybody i am always polite ,clean up do a good job, and to a certain extent if anybody makes a funny/sarcastic remark i just smile walk out the door and off, but anybody who goes to far, i talk to them without raising my voice ,tell them what i think, and in some few extreme cases simply walked off the job, you did right, and remember as one door shuts another opens.

defo done the right thing, happened to alot in glasgow, nearly always asians aswell, not that im racist like al hit any **** dont get me wrong, they take the mickey they think we are desperate, i plastered an old pub 2 years ago, finished it and got ram basra round to go over the finished job and settle the cash, he was very happy with all the work, it was agreed that i would get £10m2 supply, about 300 m2 reskim. he hands me £30 i nearly fainted i felt the rage go from my toes to my head, never again. had to chase the rat for months to get the rest was like getting blode from a stone.

I do a lot of work on grant jobs (disabled adaptations) and they've kept me busy for ages but i knocked them on the head because of them being pisstaking T***s. We used to finish the adaption, put an invoice in and were lucky to get the money before 9 weeks was up. Sometimes you have to burn bridges to make time for new ones!!!!!
 
You should have done the job beddy , then had a think about it over christmas what to do next. and if you just picked up some more work you have a strong hand to play next time with him. So nick did not give you his contact list.:flapper:
