Carpal tunnel and cubital tunnel

Hi I'm John been plastering 40 years and recently had carpal tunnel surgery and cubital tunnel surgery done on my right hand the one I spread with. Wondering if anyone else has it done and how long it takes to get back working again. It's been 5 weeks now.

My brothers a groundworker he's waiting for an operation on he's hsnd . They've told him a minimum 6 x weeks rest
