Is morph not pushing the right buttons for ya tooddle pip. Trying to lure unsuspecting young lads into the garden of love to have your wicked way. I thought u were a clean cut wholesome young lady ;-)

I spoke to one of the lads in my local B&Q and your spot on they wont be stocking it either, they said exactly the same it was too expensive.
 
Well if B&Q aint gonna stock it it aint really gonna target the DIY side of the game :) Good Chance they might bring the price of it down. If B&Q are one of the cheapest for Multie and think a tenner is too much they wont be getting a good deal so whats the builders yard gonna sell it for to make it a good deal?
 
i was just gonna say went to magnets today to get some gear and plaster was £3.40 a bag and plasterboard 8x4 12.5mm was £3.50 a sheet i was quite supprised when we paid
 
i use to use magnet all the time a few years ago, cheap as chips, no one could could compare, but they moved so that was that. The prices use to change quite often and most of the time they sold multi for less that they paid for it, they even gave me a voucher for £100 when i opened an account spent it on a collated screw gun only used it a couple of times i cant be arsed with it lol

If b&q aint stocking this then its a massive own goal by bg, not many diy'rs will visit builders merchants and when they do they get robbed. I could see companys like b&q forcing the price down because if the target consumer is diy then it's a must to get into these big stores.
 
well i know someone high up in BandQ and they make a loss on plasters and the main reason they wont stock it is BG are puttingthe price on the bag

So you're saying that what we pay in B & Q is less than the merchants pay British Gypsum for the gear? :rolleyes)

if it's 8 quid a bag say a decent contractor gets it down to 6.50 who pays 3 quid a bag for multi It costs an extra 35 p per m so if you're get 50p perm pva they save 15p plus the cost of pva
 
If B<Q will not stock it Wicks will and there will be a demand for it. You do not always win jobs on price alone.

so if they make a loss on plaster why do they sell it even cheaper if you by 5+ bags??
 
ive done a few jobs has a loss leader but dont tell our lass!!!! she doesnt like me fingering other women
