Well they’re only 8x4 or 6x3 , I know they can come in 3m , but as a rule 90degree to stud and joistWe always do our best to buy boards in that suit the storey height and only have vertical joints. As far as I'm aware this has always been the correct spec, not that I'm saying that it makes any difference, but it's what we stick to.
