Hi guys
what sort of machine should I be looking at getting with a budget of
£15k I know it will be a second hand one but that would be the top of my budget.
ideally it would be nice to get one for £12-13k including the vat so Iv got some money left over for some extra bits.
any recommendations or advice on what sort of pumps are good and easy to use.

iv been using my ritmo for the last two years and want to get a diesel machine for flo screeds as well as my renders.
i do get asked a lot if I do flo screeds

thanks for any advice guys

Hi Mate,

We have recently become the UK Dealers for Priomix who are a manufacturer of Diesel Machines. Unfortunately we don't have any used ones available but will be able to advise you on what to look for.

Here are some details of our machine The Pragma CLP which is capable of doing both Liquid Screed and Render. We can also offer Finance packages on this Machine if that is of interest to you: Link Removed

We also have a few Lancy machines available second hand, unfortunately not capable of doing both areas you require. I will speak to a few customers who are looking to buy a new machine and sell their used ones.

If I can come up with something I will let you know.

If you need any help with what machine to go for and any advice on Diesel Machines, please feel free to give me a call

Ryan

10k will buy you a nearly new utiform v2, that's what I bought to do renders and screeds, I sold it last year 2011 500 odd hours 8k plus vat is what I got, I didn't need 2 diesel pumps any more just have an sp11 now, again used for both. Utiforms are a doddle to use, just a bit thirsty, sp11s are a bit more pricey.
Word of note just keep your eye on the gross weight of the machine you can pull up to 750 kilo without a trailer license, but if you passed your test before 1997 it doesn't make any odds.

a new utiform is 17k plus vat, that's whst I paid my sp11 was a bit more, your not far off buying new with a budget of 15k

Yep I know a lad that's just done that, makes sense the euros dived against the pound.

What type of work do you do now then owlz

Not big sites any more, had 2 deisel pumps sat there most of the time gathering dust, so got rid of one.
there great when you've got the room but on smaller jobs there a pain in the arse as you can't get them in, knocked screeding on the head as the arse has fallen out of that now,and now more EWI work etc, I'm a consultant for a substainable building outfit that takes up a chunk of my time and I sub a lot of work out, instead of pulling my puds out myself. Although I'm after a little machine I think in the spring maybe a ritmo eh.
ive owned or used just about every machine ever made to be honest, bit of a machine freak, what I havnt bought ive borrowed from parex when I was involved with them etc.

Have you ever had a Pft machine?

The ritmo will suit what you describe perfectly. Id go for a 230 L. I use mine most often, also dont mind slapping it on by hand on some jobs using the Xl mixer.
If the price is rightfor a bit of site work i can take the g4 which is big but no bother as i got a hiab on the tipper.
To bring a deisel back to the yard every night would be A pain. Its a nuisance doin it after a screed

Not really Ive had a ancient G5 briefly. There's a fairly new G4 in my unit that a lad that works for us leaves it there, but I don't use it.
Bringing it back every night ain't really an issue as I have to come back to the yard to lock up everynight and I leave it attached to van and go home in something else.
i think you sent us a price before, so I may well be in touch come spring.

Its arite if you gotta roundabout in ur yard. :RpS_biggrin:. I would rather drive straight home meself and wap my pyjamas on. We are all the same price only the packages may alter. PFT northern are closest to you. You're on his doorstep.
