DPF filter.

I went vw caddy maxi after all my life of driving Ford's tranny/ connect! There another level comfort style engine.... I will never go back and they don't rust like Ford's i wish I could go bk and give my young head a shake!

I went the other way from a T5 to a tranny. VW’s are too dear IMO. Best vans though by far.

You don't get that on the latest vans around 17 reg onwards as there eco blue engines, you top it up every 5000 miles, no conselation to you mind.
You can have the same issues with DPF with or without blue efficiency. They are separate components. I’ve been running Euro 6 since 2013, and still needed replacements under warranty, as we don’t do long distance never get enough heat built up for the filter to re gen itself.

haha :D

Sod being green :D
I just have the feeling you somehow managed to get yourself a proper workshop/motorbike/bee and country side 4x4, blaming the old x3. Did your mrs actually knows what you are doing, or she will later, when is too late:D

Problems again, AA came out after it went into limp mode and it’s 190% blocked. Tried to do a forced regen and it wouldn’t do it. Looks like a specialist job to get me back on the road. In the meantime it’s £300 a week to hire a van :muyenojado:

Are you still in the black custom?

You need the filter cut open ,remove filter and the case resealed to pass a MOT. This will solve your problem expect to pay £600. It will cost double to replace.

I Considered that malc. Will try keeping additives in the fuel to see if that helps. They help the soot burn off at lower temps apparently so it’s not so much of a struggle for the DPF.

Yeah. Been A good van apart from this b*ll***s with the DPF.
Costly if it’s a new dpf, have you screwed the balls off it in 4th gear. Helps clear abit of s**t.
Built to cost you a bomb new vehicles.
My crafter needs a new cam and water pump, 4years old or 133k. f**k me I said it’s only done 26k “4 years it is for you then” :muyenojado:

Wow! What a con! 26k is feck all. That time or mileage thing is shite surely, makes it a win win for dealers.

Yeah I give it death every so often but been on a job in the countryside for a few weeks so been barely getting over 50mph. 2 glow plugs showing a fault code too, don’t know if they do anything for the DPF :loco:

I still try to get the revs up on the on the country roads if I’ve been in the sticks a while. Wack it in a lower gear and keep revs steady over 2000 when I can. I use supreme diesel too seems to run better than the normal shite.

Had mine done a few weeks back. Guy I bought the van off (dealer) took it off and sent to specialist for cleaning. Fitted new injector that goes with it. Tad over £700.

I’m getting nowhere fast. These things are a plague on motorists. Everywhere is mad busy sorting them out.

Agree on the supermarket fuel. Don’t put it in much but I reckon it’s a cheaper grade fuel than the likes of BP etc.
Funny you should say that as I was saying to my dad Morriston fuel seems cheap but doesn't seem to last as long as other like BP etc.

Don't buy diesel from supermarkets I am told that it has got Bio diesel mixed with the diesel to get the costs down. I only use supreme diesel and ultra petrol in our cars.

I would change the 4 glow plugs with winter on the way you want it to start easy. The blocked filter is starving the engine of fuel.
Try and find a small diesel engineer workshop he may be willing to sort your problem out. for a cut and shut on the filter will be about £600. they will need the van for a couple of days.
