EML Fixings

for eml we just use screws and washers, rib lath fix through the ribs screws only. start in the middle of the eml sheet working outwards.

Used to be when I was wee.....
overlap edges by 50 mm.fixed top and bottom every 200 mm..horizontal every 150mm.
and three rows per sheet every 300 mm staggered.
that was using screws and washers method:crying:....but if you use shroom plugs it can be less ..I find the shrooms pull it in better?..depend if the background is quite flat or shot to feck marra?

depend on the background, but top row and bottom row also fixes the sheet above and below.

Better to use plastic plugs over metal fixings because if using external you'd be using stainless sheets which means you'd need to use stainless steel screws and washers which can get expensive. Galvanised screws and washers corrode fast when in contact with stainless steel.

Is it external @Arti?

Back yard walls which are painted..........flaky styleeeeee.

Im gonna have a blast with the plaka mushy's rather than plug n screw...........just wasnt sure how many to order...............20 sheets of EML.................:tonto:

Allow approx 40 per sheet, 3 rows 200mm apart, overlap will save you 3 here and there but also you'll need an odd extra one in somewhere but 40 per sheet as a rule of thumb won't be far away

So where are people getting there mushroom fixings from??

Fisher fixings are the best about, but those are plastic pins wouldn't have them given, metal pins are the way.
Try direct building they have more different types of fixings, than mr fixings who lives on fixing street and sells fixings.
