Defo . We live by our means if we need owt we save up. Everyone says were always away . I say yeah cause we aint got credit cards and cars on finance. Also got to see lad develop as missed it with first 2 as i was always at work .
Bloody hell it's like listening to someone from the seventies, when common sense prevailed.

I've never worked in a factory, but I did a few years in an office. Warm in winter, air con in summer, dry, not getting knackered, paid really well, company provided free fruit and tea/coffee, plenty of trips UK and abroad, got to use my bike everyday to commute, could borrow a Range Rover or new XJ for the weekend if you wanted. It drove me mental, just couldn't handle the nonsense. Meetings, policies for everything, everyone was a "colleague", and the way they reacted if you said "bollox" or dropped the 'C' bomb you'd think I'd stood in the middle of the office, dropped my knob out and shouted "who's first?".

It's a completely different world and the people who inhabit it have very little in common with anyone outside of it. Great if it suits you, but murder if it doesn't. The grass may be greener on the other side, but that's probably because there's more sh1t on it.

Is it a site like this? As in a member has infringed someone's copyright?

nah the site is a site where the customer has stolen some images.... because I registered the domain name for them I get sent all their bullshit....

Sounds like you should set up another section in the forum advising us where to invest our hard earned iv got at least another 20 years at work (I’m 32)

lol

I wish I was good enough to give advice :D I muddle through life not knowing much but seem to get by :D

I think I’m better off being at work anyway, I hated not working for three months this year. It’s good to get up with a purpose each morning. I think working is good for the soul I wouldn’t want to retire and just sit in my armchair waiting to die. It’s important to stay busy doing something that keeps you going.

try working from home... you need a hell of alot more motivation to get out of bed...

The editor is responsible for site content.

With sites like Youtube, they have a secondary responsibility to override a channel's content. That is to say, they have a responsibility to take it down if the uploader won't.

Before you spend money engaging a solicitor, you should probably respond to the effect that you have contacted the site editor and insisted that the infringing content must be removed. Further, you are willing to pull the site if necessary and have pointed this out to the editor.

DMCA is the appropriate guideline. I know it's American and we are in UK, but the global nature of the internet means that DMCA is standardised.

That should be the end of your blues. I'm the complainant several times a week. I find my content everywhere, so I know a little about this stuff.

They shouldn't really have started banging on about solicitors yet. Usually a DMCA takedown notice is enough. Unless they have already been in contact with the site admin and got no joy (this makes copyright holders very angry)

Take it seriously, lean on the site editor to make it right, let the solicitor know that you have done that and learn from it. Never register fcuk all for anyone ever again. It just leads to shyt like this.

When you pass comment on here or on site, if people disagree they argue and or call you a c**t and say it's bollox. If you worked in an office you'd have had verbal warnings, then written and in all likelihood been sacked.

It's madness really, if people get upset by hurty words, or offended because someone has a different point of view and it's a major incident. Anything mildly pornographic and you're down the road no questions asked. Start when they say, stop when they say, work how they say, breaks when they say.

I reckon 90% of people who are currently self-employed and have been for a few years would either hate it or be down the road within a month of working for a medium to large organisation, office or factory floor.

I used to be dept adverse, just like my parents before me, I then realised that the only way to get the things I wanted was to borrow money.
Big difference was that I didn't borrow and buy what I wanted, but used the money to make more money. Dept isn't always a bad thing.

Exactly why I left engineering I became a professional meeting attender however, they were not scared to use my ERM brusk side shall we say when dealing with suppliers.

Don't get me wrong John I think it's brilliant the way you've organised your life. Contentment is a wonderful thing.
I do wish I had borrowed to invest when I was younger . Now I.m just settled. Been offered i few opportunities but don' want the stress . Think a caravan at coast be only thing I bother with next . Spend summers' out there let lad have house . ....all for quiet life lol
