Working at my aunties. She offered me couple of cheap £3 flexi tubs . No thanks I said, not strong enough. Had an idea and joined two together with taped handles. Solid.

They used to make them over here with string in them almost indestructible unfortunately we live in an age where nothing lasts so they can sell you more.

Worth having a look at our PUTZ TaliaGOM Buckets. They are very very robust - yes 2 x very's! Made of a special type of Gum/Rubber in France. Our biggest selling bucket and the reviews are great

Ive got one of those putz buckets. Theyre made of titanium! Absolutely hammered mine for about 2 years. Mixing in it. Rubble in it. Been knocked off scaffold the lot. Still keeps going

Was wondering why you hadn't bought another! :musculoso:

Never knew about those putz tubs. Need to order one, we've got a bucket made from tyre rubber it's a heavy b*****d but it will probably outlast the human race.

You can't fill it right up to the brim if it's going on the board, got a tall 75 litre bucket I use for skimming now. Use the putz bucket for bonding etc.

Dimensions are important, taller & narrower helps you mix it quicker without it going everywhere like those feckin gorillas

We've started using the tall putz now big k dont u find tho the bk end of the mix is sort of 3/4 mixed? I think its harder 2 mix but less mess myself..skimming 3 bags..use 3/4 water barrell for dotting get near 6 bags in it and there are indestructible

the collomix is variable speed so only let it go full wack once the mix is thick enough

:numberone: im the courser and theres lads here struggling to use the variable speed on their mixer trigger....whod ave thunk it

Using gorillas either a) goes everywhere or b) takes too long to mix.
Variable speed? I haven't time to be fecking around with speeds and switches on a drill, I want to drop it in the bucket and GO!
Never a prob regarding the mix kitchy?
Don't know what you mean really...[emoji85]

my trigger is variable so just press as fast as i want it to go

If your mixing a bag topper in a 3 bag gorilla tub it takes ages to mix..sort of not fully mixed big k with like a bit of water surface its hard to explain..mite be power in my mixer

Not taken as a dig Lodan, don't be silly.
Your keeping the drill slow by whatever means, why?
So it doesn't go all over the place is the answer!!!
