Flu Jab

Who has had the flu jab then?

I have had it as with Jane being a teacher and maddy catching everything and me still building my immune system up it seems to be a good idea...

Not sure how it will affect me in the long term though :-\

What does someone as old as @essexandy do? The flu would end him, but at his age the flu jab would probably pick him off too.
I'm so old that the authorities see me as 'surplus to requirements' and a 'burden on the system', so I don't get the jab mate.
I have to keep telling myself not to walk towards the light.

i always have the flu jab every year, which i receive on the NHS, but i would pay the £10 and get a jab at Boots or Tesco.
the health dept. work out the 3 most common strains of flu that are going to hit us each winter and that becomes the vaccine. so not all strains are covered. if you have ever had flu you know that you don't want that again. there was a strain that wiped out thousands in asia this year .

I get it every year cant see why u wouldn't want to prevent sickness i use to get the worst flus last for weeks got pneumonia out of one get a jab for that now to

Listen Danny do you ever have the flu as bad as that flu jab so why on earth would you take it to feel like utter s**t.
You no that parents are now refusing more than taking it hence why there driving it so much into adults stay away from the needles and drugs these pharmaceutical company are offering.
A lad near mine was given 3 months to live rapidly changed his diet because cancer can't survive on alkali foods but can on acidity he's made it through without touching a drug... You take the doctors advice because you trust them but apparantly they work for the NHS who have a contract to follow there rules to sell pharmaceutical drugs your call but a serious good diet will cure anything

slo w down with the 20 yrs pal u make out im f**k*d /flu jab doesn't stop colds any way
The 20 years old Norman are piss in the wind. You need to watch for 30+, but I don't really care nowadays. Last year I said enough is enough and now do my own pace I feel comfortable . There are the odd days I need to drive the old train on full steam, but that's rare really. I have to agree with you, jabs won't stop the flu that will bring you down.

that's all well and good and to be honest I don't take any other drug... I refuse paracetamol but having the flu can be savage and frankly if I ever get old enough I will get dementia and die and if dementia doesnt get me then I will be killed in a bike accident or in my kit car...

I have had flu when i was 25 and it took a few weeks before I built my strength back up. Had a jab as when I could after that.

But then at 39 I started doing the taxis to get over winter. I got loads of sick people sneezing and coughing on me! Bastards couldn’t be arsed to wind the window down. I did very much to their annoyance. So I had the jab to protect myself and had it since. 61 now so even more so. But I dont like the idea of it.

You could die if you don’t have it and might die of having it?

Hope the chickens was organic.

I have only had flu once and I got it bad!

Rarely get colds. I eat healthy and usually have a spoonful of honey. But I keep it out of the house coz I buy in bulk. Run out and it might take a week to be arsed in winter to get another jar out. Had a bad cold this Monday. Had a garlic, ginger and honey brew and all clear in 48hours.

Recipe in health and well being section.

Feck the flu jab. I think it's one big con. I've never had it and don't let my kids have it. My misses has had it. But still got I'll 1 wk later and passed it around.

I will let the rest of you be the ginnea pigs and work out if it has side effects in 15 years.
