Self employed should get a text,then don't use a link incase it's a scam.
Just go to your account for HMRC.
Had a text a month ago saying they will contact you.

I wasn’t contacted but my wife was sent an email with link to gov.uk for hers
I just logged in to mine by chance to have a look.

You can go on and see if your eligible and confirm your details now on the site think that’s what @Rossi46 has done and posted

It also stats you should only claim if your work has been affected by the corna virus outbreak, so looks like you’ve got to apply and not just get it like people first thought

From what you have to have lost profits...so if you were expecting double bubble as you continued working not going to happen.

This is what I read on HMRC for self employed.

The online service will be available from 13 May 2020. If you’re eligible, we will tell you the date you can make your claim from. If your claim is approved you’ll receive your payment within 6 working days.

I’m not sure, people can still claim, but looks like you’ve actively got to claim not just everyone get it like we first thoughT

I haven't worked the whole time this has been going on but from what I read government said you could still earn...will just have to confirm its affected you in some way financially

Not sure why we were able to do it today then and I’m not sure what will happen differently from 16th.

Not surprised about lock down but Boris will ease the restrictions on Thursday and my sources tell me a long term strategy plan outlined in Sunday. :coffe:

Thanks for the update...hoping source is reliable as mine is saying different that they are dragging it out...and lockdown won't be eased until 1/6 :coffee:

What is the situation with plaster empty.
Can't see us back in Scotland for another 3 weeks or so.sturgeon resisting opening up construction.

So someone’s said can cal from 13th mine said 14th just told one of my young lads and he’s says from the 16th so looks like getting busy, better get it in now lads before the date gets pushed further back

Why not, though it does say to claim you have to be affected, good point.
I suppose their will be questions on form, but you know self employed are not always honest when paid with cash.
Not sure if rules are different over here but I'm sure there said you can still claim even if you have worked through it,furlough is different story but self employed there said you could,I think

I’ve been paid out for the furlough scheme for me and staff, for the 3 week period, (Even though most was my own money that I’d paid out) The process was very easy to navigate and 5 days later it was in my account, 6.5k ish. It’s been said that construction will be the first ‘officially’ to allowed to go back week after next, so you think you won’t be able to claim past that date but who knows with it.
