Might be too strong or too many coats. You don’t want to kill all the suctionI've had a lot of trouble last couple of years with pva not doing it's job, as in the skim separating, and sliding. Can anyone recommend a good brand of pva.
I think all pva needs less water lately. Even good stuff
eh?Was touch dry, one I'd pva'd the day before?
was paint you gritted over quite glossy John? It's all in plaster what's on floor
Can't remember . Lad prepped it .was paint you gritted over quite glossy John?
the Bostik plasterers primer will only deal with paint to a silk level, if it's glossy they recommend using their renderers primer instead whereas Bond-it will deal with all paints.
Didn't think it needed grit if pva has done it's job shouldn't have to fkin grit.eh?
if you did prep work day before, why didn't you just fkin grit it then?
PVA will only do so much, that's what the grits are for.....they serve a purpose they don't make them for the fun of it... fk me trades gone to shiitDidn't think it needed grit if pva has done it's job shouldn't have to fkin grit.

wtf?If it's shiny paint or paste on surface use thick PVA , roller on and scrub with stiff brush
Thought that'd make your daywtf?
or you could just simplify things and roller one coat of grit on....wow this fkin forum never fails to give you a laugh.
Thought that'd make your day
30 years of PVA , never needed grit
maybe u should try it mate, u might like itThought that'd make your day

A lot of my work nobody would touch , I see it as entertainment as the customer wants the cheap shortcut at their risk , grit adds depth to an overskim so no way that's going on a ceiling have gone over someone else's grit on walls on an abandoned job , I need a variety of suctions across a wall of mixed substrates and you can't achieve that with gritmaybe u should try it mate, u might like it
You could get some work driving gritter trucks in wintermaybe u should try it mate, u might like it

f**k you fetched me in to it for lolThe problems arise when some fool allows a lab to prep , grit or PVA over poorly prepped surface is where it all goes wrong
