Have B.G started using better backing paper or is the brown side still recycled paper and not to be plastered. If so why is o.k to stick dabs to and become a structual element
The reason that you do not skim the brown side is because although the paper is stuck on it will have small air bubbles on the surface (Look at it in some good light) which would cause problems in the finish . I understand that the white side is stuck down using a method that prevents this and to save money the brown side is not but is still good enough for adhesive to stick to.
