Help needed!

Hello everyone, new to this forum and need your help. I have just had a room plastered and although most of it looks ok apart from a few splashes, blobs and trowel marks I want to know if this is an acceptable finish around window as I am not happy with it. It is not a straight line and you can see the skrim tape. Would really appreciate your comments/ help so I can get this sorted. I have asked the plasterer if he can do something to improve it and he said there was a wooden bead on there so he was unable to use a metal bead to get a neat edge. That can’t be right is it?

Fraid not.

You've been caspered.

Might be able to trowel a bit of filler over it and sand it back off.

More chance of that than getting him back I'm afraid
 
Yes I thought it wasn’t acceptable. Thank you. I will post some other pics for your comments. There are a few cracks/marks etc. I think most of it is ok though ‍♀️ Would you mind commenting on it again please? What are my options?

Yes I couldn’t feel anymore stupid. He’s messed me around completely. Plasterered the walls before the ceiling! Think he’s only done 1 coat. Left the room, the hallway and outside a mess. Any ideas what I can do? I have already paid him - he made me pay some upfront. How much is the expected rate?

Varies by area.

There isn't much you can do. By rights you should invite him back to make good.

But he can't make good and he won't have your money.

Best thing you can do is wear it and get someone off here to make it right

Where are you, and how much did you pay up front, and on completion?
 
If the rest of it is ok he could straighten it up with a bit of straight timber and some filler. I could polish that turd for you

What area of the country are you and how much did you pay for that abomination.
 
Tell him it looks crap .he can replaster it or give back half the money, or you will report him to trading standards. Where do you get these dicks from.
 
Looks like one coat bandit, sponge float then quick flexi trowel and back on his horse.
Otherwise known as a scimmer not a plasterer. There is a big difference
