I always Chuck them back I don’t eat it just love catching them still not had a double figure yet best been about 7 1/2

7 1/2lbs is a good fish. Where I used to live on the east Essex coast a few doubles would come out every year, just not enough young fish unfortunately.

I’m down north devon, some big ones have come out most years 14-15 pounders mainly caught in the surf but I fish the estuary on the low and catch the flood, on a really low tide I’ve been in the middle of the river knee deep spinning for bass with the sun setting awesome stuff

I know how u feel mate, me and the Mrs both work minimum 40 hour weeks- that is bare minimum- I’m nearer 50 hours, we live in a small terraced house, we have a car that we work our arses off to pay for and any van I buy ends up like triggers broom. We never have extravagance but go down to my sons school and you got parents running unofficial advice groups on WhatsApp to “coach” other parents on how to claim every benefit under the sun! One parent has had an extension funded by the state to build her “a room for her to have some space”
She’s never worked a day in her life
