Yes standard practiceI think I will dab all the screw heads with pva as it's my own house and my own time.
But should I be also be pva-ing all of the cut edges of the boards before I put them up.

Take a photo of the the screwdriver your using we might be able to recommend one with a more comfortable handleWell I started this thread for some advice on screws - good ones- bad ones, no one seemed to be able to recommend either way. So I brought cheap ones from screwfix 60x3.5 which were fine in my new noggings but at times it was hard going in my 50 year old seasoned joist's. I think I could of got away with 50mm as when the head was flush with the board some of them snapped just below the head. So I wouldn't be recommending Toolstation screws.
You brought them from screwfix but wouldn’t recommend toolstation. Ffs you’re nearly as bad as @John j !Well I started this thread for some advice on screws - good ones- bad ones, no one seemed to be able to recommend either way. Which is why I started this thread in the first place - to ask others experience on screws and your very own reply was ----Toolstation screws are cheap for a reason dummy! At least you’ve learnt that one.
Your other reply was offering to skim the job for free in exchange for a screw - when you could of instead offered your toolstation screws advice then, which would of actually been useful.@John j said go for the cheapest ones!

any silver ones palI think I see the confusion, I am not asking for the best screws for plasterboard -that would be plasterboard screws.
I am asking for the best plasterboard screws - as in tell me your favourites tell me the ones you have hated using. For instance someone said the wickes ones should be banned.
Don't get yaany silver ones pal
zinc plated dry wall screwsDon't get ya
Ho yes I have re read and get it now -- you are recommending any silver ones. Thing is I dont think neither screwfix or toolstation had the right length in zinc. Why do you prefer zinc.zinc plated dry wall screws
