Right then, I'll travel to the very near future in my time travel machine and pick up a couple of bags of the unifinish ( not forgetting to look at tonights euro millions winning numbers) then travel back put the numbers on then forget about plastering forever. Anyone want anything while I'm in the very near future? :RpS_biggrin:

Yeh mate could you get me this weekend premiership footie results? That would go down a treat with my dream team mini league, thanks,, much appreciated sire.:RpS_thumbsup:

i stand corrected, any of you boys had a go with uni finish yet? I had some bags the other week to try and it was class

Did you have to sand it , only I ve heard you can sand it the next day if need be , only what I ve been told.:RpS_thumbup:

Tried it on a visit to BG and witing for the release when they are oing to send us a couple of pallets up to try on bigger areas. y the way no need to sand it but when we tried it the bonding that had been on a while could have done with a little drink to slow the suction down a little.

prob they got it from BG lol
they must be talking b*ll***s, not being funny or owt but i wouldnt want to try it not at the prices is gonna be!!!

Find it mad that for years bg have said not to use pva with their products, use bond it only, now they bring out a finish that don't need pva??? Lmfao

TBH I will wait and see what the price is but by the time I've put the PVA on in a room I could have prob got a couple of walls on so even if it's more expensive it might work out cheaper for the customer and get you more work.

Some how it seems strange that bg would bring a new product out saying no more pva ? most are thinking re skims works somehow I dont think it is for this .where in new build would you use pva .

Maybe a phasing out of multi, leaving us with just board and uni?

I doubt it Danny, when we went from Sirapite to Sirapite B and then onto Multi there was no phasing in/out they just stopped making one and started making the other pretty much without warning.

on concrete ceilings. they are just bonding out the joints and any deviation, pva and skim.

Ok I'm back from the very near future and got a couple of bags off uni in the bright PINK bags. £8.50 each. Fatarm, man united beat Liverpool 2-0 and city draw with arsenal 2-2
tonights lottery is 2,12,34,44,45,49
got back too late to do the euro millions!!

Forgot to add that the unifinish comes with a small sachet of white sticky liquid that must be added to the mix. :RpS_biggrin:

I used it over the top of painted Artex, and over several walls that where a mix of sand/lime and patched in bonding coat, great to mix no difference to multi or board, final setting time was as normal, first coat pulled in quick (had a bit of a panic on at this) but the second coat just hung their beautifully, guess the first coat is important to kill the suction in the back ground, and it is creamy as hell with loads of fat. its a great product, the bg rep told me its obviously aimed at the refurb market not new build, and obviously they have their bond it but everyone has a version of that now so the best way bg can compete is to have a plaster like this with no need for PVA. Again according to bg man this product will sit alongside the other finishes and will not replace any as far as cost he did tell me how much it was gonna be and i was shocked at first however the job i used it on i would of probably spent a good day PVA all the backgrounds so I guess it saved that which is probably worth the cost

so how much is it gonna be then??? Or is it a secret????:RpS_sneaky:

about £8, which I agree is steep butt personally if i can walk into a room and just start skimming and have no problems then its worth it
