i'v not been here for a while tbh
thought i'd pop on today see how work was in general around the country, hope everones doing ok.
i broke up today for 2 weeks as they wouldn't let me stay on site alone over they holidays, that snow up north fecked me over a couple of weeks ago. lost 7 days work.
anyway, i'v been reading essexboy's and ahmeds posts as i found them rather amusing, in fact sorry, fu..ckin hillarious.
why do people think you can just do a course and start booking private jobs in a week later, surely you cannot be taught every potential problem you may face in a day or a week.
i'v been at it 7 years nearly and i still learn new things everyday, todays lesson dont hit you frozen brush on a heater because the fecker will snap like a cheap chocolate bar.
seriously, what a sad state the trade is in, when you have people attemting to do this, i didn't take my first private job on for about 18 months because we all know 1 fook up cost you alot of money down the road.
essexboy - take note while im not laughing.
you sound like a good kid, get on as a labourer even if it takes you 6-12-18 months do not go straight in branding yourself as a spread, it will goes tit5 up mate, i would bet everything i have on it.
your enthusiasm is great, but dont rush in. you shouldn't be touching any job with out being 100% behind your desicions and confident you know what your doing.
and we wonder the price is going down and down, how many more are out there like this. scary stuff
