second hand ones do come up mate, let me ask ian from swansea , he has the one with a water pump gone but you can just connect a hose to it

thanks simps but im on a huge site at the mo with one water supply ........cant see it working :-\............if he can get a quote to fix it i'd be interested ;)...........when you used mono did it all work as usual ?.........also sorry stupid question but whats the worst thing that can happen if you run out of water/powder :-\
ill ask rich ..........they do free delivery at the mo too mate

if you run out of water its like putting to much powder to water into you mixing bucket, the paddle starts to struggle and if you left it going it would burn the motor out like it would on your mixer. if you run out of powder then you will have a spot full of water and a right mess.. you dont need to buy the round spot. I use a standard spot and everytime one of you goes to the board you pull the fresh gear forward. Bod your wrong, if you have a run of hardwall to do then it will pay for itself and you will not be without it. If i can put mine back together i might sell it to you but i would want about 600 for it. I also have the extension for the hopper.

keep hold of it bod summer'll be here soon ;)
cheers simps ..........its easy taking things apart aint it ;D..........if you do get it running mate get in touch ;)

How can you justify you claim that it will pay for itself in 15 days ?

The days referred to are working days i.e. those days on which backing or undercoat plaster is being applied. This claim assumes that the person mixing now costs £40 per day and is based on them being able to spend their time doing something else to get the job finished quicker.

I rang a certain firm today to ask about the reconditioned joddy mixer that they had for sale ..... I spoke to the boss man and he spend about 5 minutes telling me why I shouldnt buy one as they are poorly designed, damage easily and are not reliable. He didnt want me to have it and would only sell it to me if I drove to there unit and tried it and signed to say I was happy buying it.

didnt exactly make me rush to the van with cash in my hands !!

Ive never seen a joddy work but i t looks like a good bit of kit but as it only for backing coat why not go the full hog and get a proper projection machine, i know they are a lot more money but if you are doing that amount of work where you need a joddy surely machine plastering would be better, dont know just asking.
