Knauf tape&joint before skimming?

Hello all,
Just started a site in Cardiff skimming Knauf PB,they are using a system of tape/joint before skim finish.
Paper tapes have bubbled and celing angles wavey due to to much product.Spoken to Knauf,they say the this system has been tested and past for the last 2 yrs.
I have been plastering for 40yrs City& Guilds qualified and this system is so wrong it will cause a huge amount of patching.
Any thoughs.

Never heard shite like that before . Its either taped or skimmed ffs who dreams this shite up

The job is a nightmare,asked Knauf to call in but they are not intrested.
Blown tapes everywhere and the have told us to blue grit there green boards.
Been plastering for 39yrs nobody listens anymore.
There patching will be very costly.
Skrim tape/ bead and plaster,site work is f**k*d.

I have had this on a job at Cambridge university. The clerk of the works phoned up British Gypsum about the strongest joint material. BG said tape joint and skim!

Hi Malc,
I have spoken with site managers who agree with me but do nothing about it.
They had a site visit by there superiors last week i told them about this problem and they will not meet there completion date,they all looked at each other and walked out.I had a warning off site manager afterwards.
All my years in this trade means nothing.
