Have a company doing EWI job at the moment. Generally very happy with them.
At the front of the house I am looking to have brick slips fitted to about hip height and these would have to be fitted later.
Whole house will have mesh & base coat applied and then finish with silicone render on the portion above where the brick slips will go.
The company want to fit a stop bead just above the line where the brick slips will finish and then finish render to that which seems fine. Trouble is that the stop bead is only a few mm deep and the brick slips are 20mm thick. I would like to have a nice transition such as a bellcast that goes out by the full 20mm or slightly more to ensure the brick slips are not sitting proud.
Is this possible with a modern silicone render and is there a suitable stop bead for this.
Any other ideas that might work such as applying a fillet mastic or sealant afterwards.
Cheers
