A lot of the lurkers like @Pyrate have been lurking for years so should have a good feel for the forum and how unbiassed and relaxed we are...

Also there is a report button which I act on quickly so anyone thinks something needs removing then I look at it :D

i weighed myself earlier and im 10stone 2 this job is making me waste away...think id die without my 1500 calories of beer a night
id be about 8 stone
 
All open discussion... I can moderate it hard if you like... but then it would be like Faceache and tilers place....... errr no thanks

I know I moderate on a tilers forum and no way would the language be allowed...that's why this is soooooo much fun with tradesmen who say it as it is.:tanguero:

That is no way a dig at them.... they do what they do and we do what we do :D 10 years on.... think we have a good balance :D In the early days on here it was brutal...

I was here in the early days and it was bad proper no holes barred online fistecufs it's tame now in comparison I don't add much now myself more of a lurked now a days but still enjoy reading it thanks danny for keeping it going

Bang to rights - I've picked up some great tips from the pros here without ever coming forward. Sorry Danny and everyone and belated thanks.
I've been re-plastering a small flat with chronic water damage right through to the brickwork, due to installation of a shower in a central cupboard by previous owners.. I have City @ Guilds I and II from way back in London, and did up some properties in my youth, but was a bit nervous about picking up a trowel again. The Forum helped a lot, for confidence as well as on the technical side. Anyway, hello from Norma.

I don't think the problem is just the banter I think if you do a search you will find the answer. The problems are when people can't be arsed coz they are so f**k**g lazy then they don't get the answer they show their arse. @Danny you have also created a Wikipedia of plastering so no need to ask sometimes. Anyone who sticks it out for more than six month comes for a bit of banter or an argument or to let off steam. There are ways to solve the problem but that would mean starting again and getting rid of the info? The place was Moderated to f**k a while back coz of a handful of members then newer members posted who knew the rules (quite simple ones) and it pretty much moderates itself. It's nice to see a couple of members who don't post but usually use the forum on a daily basis so not a big loss and to think I star in a forum drama that people read hahahahaha hmmmmmm I've been in it that long a bit like Ken Barlow :) I wonder how @damny will write me out? ;) will I come back in it again as a different character? Maybe do a few Cameo roles on the tilers forum or micro cement ;)
