How big are your sheets? Only need a sheet about 6x3 to mixing a couple of bags of gear on and a cleaning bucket?

Mixing Sheet
I use these.

sell them in loads of places arti....don't know exact size but they fit no probs inside the with of a swb tranny....only down side is any excess water/gear just sits on top apposed to being soaked up...

used to use for knocking small mixes of render up off

1m x 1m is the biggest i can find so far

we use our dirty CANVAS dust sheets to mix up on, we also lay them out when we work in empty properties and external renders to keep the area clean.
clean canvas dust sheets for occupied properties.

use an old waxed canvas tarp. nice and heavy; doesnt blow around in the wind.will put a heavy duty green tarp underneath it if outside and its damp. got mine in a car boot but you can get them on ebay for about £30.

I just use a tarp folded several times to about 4 ft be 4 ft size. Had it about a year. And still fine for mixing. Just give it a shake and s**t falls off.

More to the point though can never understand why people mix at the van...if internals then I mix in the room I'm working....or rendering then on the scaffold etc..

I can only just carry a bag these days never mind a 2 plus bag bucket with water etc must be about 70kg I recon!

Back of the van with tailgate up especially for ceilings as i like a clear floor space, then maybe take it indoors. If its a porch then again have to mix outside, lots of times people allow me to mix in thier garage.

Why would a mixer lent against a wall and a bag or so of plasterin a room stop you from having a clear run on a floor???

So what do you do if a gauge requires 2/3 bags to get a 1st coat on?

'allow you to mix in their garage' ????

I mix right next to where it's going on, no talk of 'allowing' and if there is I'm off!!! ffs.
