Mono over insulation board.

Just wondering if anyone else on here does this? And what products you use. Done it a few times as I think thin coat looks s**te. Always use 10mm beads and accelerator as it can bubble. Never had any issues. What does anyone think good practice or a no No?

why would anyone want to use mono on an EWI system ? when you can get a similar finish with a 1.5 acrylic with a lot less work.

Don't think a 1.5 acrylic gives quite as good a finish tbh.

Yep but it needs to be a lightweight version such as Parex ehi, on a base of adhesive. Standard mono is too heavy and chances are years down the line it will crack.

I think that's what the lightweight monos were designed for.....

Parex ehi and k rends lw1.

I think you can get way more out of a bag per metre aswell.

Lightweight mono no problem.
