Need A New Trowel For Skimming, Suggestions??

I must admit
The last few weeks or so I've been using the 600 speedskim a lot
I hated it to start with but got a technique for it now and quite like using it.
As you say it doesn't save me any time really maybe 10 minutes on a full set as you still gotta get up and clean down all edges etc
But it helps break the boring nature of lay on flat off lay in flat off trowel up
Plus it saves jumping up and down of the hop up flitting off

I never got on with the 600 always liked the 1200

I can see why you didn't
Although I've no real need for a 1200 as all my work is domestic so there's always something in the way

I do have 2 big extensions coming up so might be worth investing just for those and see how the bigger versions are

Don't use my 1200 much (although I have today) Was thinking about cutting down to 300/900.

90% of my work now is site work..
The only wet plastering ive done is to fix the odd bay window or a bit of dabbing since christmas its just been skimming on the same site hail....im the only "skimmer"on there ...big morris home plots.
I use my speedskim when im on big sets on certain rooms or when im tired or hungover.....it doesnt save me time or make more money it just breaks the day up doing something different !!!
I find ive gotta run speedskim around the hit a few times when i could of just trowled it once !!
I havnt used a mt for skimming for years now just flexs.
Ive got a garage full of mts/buckets/cables/scrim/screws/straightedges/and beer !!!
Would you mind sharing a few beers mate?
