Parking van on driveway

Mate I ain't the brightest of sparks but this is my Pierre de resinous of subject's.. Firstly in some deeds as said (especially on new build 1990-2000) there where covenants written to say no caravans on plots, this was because land size plots allocated where getting smaller. In terms of a signed van be it your own or company no one can enforce you not parking it on your own driveway.. On the road might be different story tbh but if possible and bearing in mind you probably told insurance it's kept on driveway I would do that.. Alot of people like your neighbour do get jealous imo when you move in have a bit of work done (I.e the other trades ) and they get defensive of how it use to be before you moved in. I wouldn't even bother wasting time and energy seeking solicitor advice but would also still try to stay nice to the neighbours bearing in mind you gonna live there ,this will blow over and live happily ever after.. Still if you want to check it out for yourself where you stand a very interesting website for law and boundary disputes etc is

www.gardenlaw.co.uk

Enjoy,peace,one love
F that he lives in an estate spark the Baster out infront of his family

Heard about this before. Some estates do have a covenant/whatever written into it that you can't bring a van onto the estate/ development.

Where I live its residents parking but joe Daki & co just drive over the footpath and park in their garden. I park legally in front of their gardens and won't move my van. One of them came to my door one day and threatened to burn me out. Anyways, he kind of fell over and bumped his head quite badly on my drive. He called the police later and I got locked up for the night, suspicion of common assault, possibly abh/gbh.
Explained to the cid fella what happened re parking incident, insisted I never touched him and got released with NFA. Cops advised me to make a complaint about him calling me a white c**t but I said ,no, I just want a quiet life. I park in front of his car/garden every day now and have expressed the view that if my van EVER got damaged in any way I'd be very annoyed

He must have fallen over when he saw your unicorn in your garden grazing away

Could be possible mate, my cousin is in the process of buying a house and in his deeds it states no sign written vans to parked on the drives, hes not bothered as hes on someones books.

TBH go to citizens advice and get free advice , they will do all the running about for you and used to it !!!
A little forgotten help that costs you nothing.

Worse cas scenario if don't take my previous advice..put Tpf sticker on van then he definitely poo his pants or plant Russian vine climbing plant's along boundary..
Each and every day I feel like either I'm going more mad with stories I read and people I meet or I'm not mad they all are from the effects of chem trials

Put some s**t through your neighbour's letterbox. That's what I'd do

I wouldn't bother with the neighbour at all.

First step is to find out if what he says is correct. If it isn't, buy/hire a much bigger van and park it on your drive.

However, if it is correct, well then it's Kerching! You will be able to sue the solicitor that acted for you, the previous owners, and the estate agent for :- loss of earnings whilst you sort it out, inconvenience of parking elsewhere, compensation for stress and distress caused, moving costs, cost of any improvement work that's done to the house, any loss incurred due to a quick sale required, cost of move to another house, fee to redirect mail, cost of having stationary changed etc. etc. etc. Find yourself a decent solicitor who's experienced in property law, sit back and let the law work for you. :D

Slapping people about whilst satisfying is so 1980's, move with the times, it's all about the money now. :envidioso

Best go safe and.just do..light a shite..

I heard of a person who threw balloons filled with water and bleach, would throw them at neighbours washing line and clothes...

Last thing want is balloon fight with new neighbor

Ahhhh fuk it !!!!just go round and bum him on the front lawn and make sure he's screaming loud enough to draw the neighbours away from the tv that should ensure no more complaints .:estudioso:

He sounds like a snob. Start acting like a chav and get a flagpole in your front garden with a St. Georges cross flag on it or paint one your gable end. And start wearing burberry and bling and lonsdale slip ons and start smoking lamberts.

Restrictive covenant is up to the builder to enforce if he's right.. builders won't be arsed. In My old house i wasnt alkowed caravans outside.

Engage him in polite conversation, and ask him if he knows anything about sub-letting to dhss scrounged types.......or....does he know anything about hydroponics and rigging the leccy meter??....... lolololol

My Mt had a simmilar issue years ago, he took off the Tranny badge and stuck a Fiesta on on there, just for the crack, apparently its o hard to enforce, and on the odd occasion park it some where else.

I used to work in Fords factory in Dagenham as a contractor years ago. I had a red ex Royal Mail Sherpa van, the one with the sliding doors.
You were supposed to only enter the factory in a Ford vehicle but the contracts engineer gave me my vehicle pass as a Ford Sherpa. Security guys hated letting me in

Moved into a new home 12 days ago.
Guy next door has been on holiday.
Today he appears like a raging bull and says that van of yours cant stay parked on my driveway.
Commercial vehicles are not allowed in this estate in driveways on permanent basis.
14 plate vivaro.

Solicitors never mentioned this at purchase.looked online about this.

Anyone had this problem before anywhere.

If this is enforced im f***"""

My good god .....im sure the prick would think twice about speaking to me again if he spouted this bullshit to me.

I know a guy has a lock up in there

I've heard so many stories over the years from people having neighbour problems and they are just nutters, I guarantee you that he has had problems with other neighbours over totally random things too.
