that reminds me of when I was an apprentice. they were using the first tyrol gun. it clipped over your shoulders and belted to you waist. there was a big chap he had to do all the spraying as he was the only one strong enough to pick the gun up! once he got himself fitted up the labourer would pour a full bucket full into the hopper, we would watch him staging about on the scaffolding.
as there are so few colours to choose from now. I spray the render, same day ,with the render mixed up very wet, a very light spray, no filling in. when it is painted it looks a treat. with this method i can spray huge areas.

Silver grey or off white is the colour now at £25 at least a bag why would you!
Same as you say spray same day and they can paint it any colour they want
