it's a tough one, @Rossi. both qualify as being the arsehole of the uk.

2012 the year of skemvision :RpS_biggrin: bet that changed fook all.

the north end is dire. women walking their kids to school in pyjamas - the women, not the kids. shameful. sure there's decent people stuck there as well. shame.

i was working there last week. had to rip a kitchen out before we got going. put the cooker on the pavement, came out ten minutes later and it was already gone. wheeled off down to the scrappy by someone.

Having a bit of right about you and pride about yourself, doesn't cost anything does it no matter how poor you are.

st Helens is a tad poor and rough, even the stray dogs go around in two's. some of the residents in the area a tad backwards, and still point at the moon of an evening.

I take it that was intended for me you cheeeeeky c nut... I know you never been you grass chewing bumkin...so someone musv told you about it !

:D

I've been working in the North End of Birkenhead in the last week, and have a load of work there over the next month or two, but all for a landlord. It's grim. North Baghdad, it's known as:

This about sums it up, and this is from someone who thought he knew working class:

Working class life in ?North Baghdad? (er, Birkenhead, that is) (Steve Regan?s Last Resort)

In fact, unless it was for a landlord refurbing a trashed house I can only remember having one job from the North End. That was by the "Blood Tub", a boozer that's now shut down. I was driving under a bridge on Bidston Hill a few years ago when some scallies dropped a 5lt tin of paint smack down onto my bonnet. I went down to the Police Station in the North End. Some grunt came out to take a look saying there was nothing they could do and then started looking at my tax disc to see if it was okay. ffs.

then again, oxton which is a half a mile away, is pretty affluent. other parts of the wirral like heswall, west kirby and caldy are affluent. it's like anywhere

Quiet right. Rock ferry is ...hmn well. Tasty.

Head to south wirral such as Caldy and its one of the best places to live in England. We have done some nice big houses on the dee side of the wirral. To be fair Birkenhead is prob the best known place but makes up only a few sq miles. You know Birkenhead park was the inspiration and blueprint for central park in new York......

aye, it has a lot of history, birkenhead. rock ferry, well ......some nice big old georgian houses down by the waterfront, though. worked on one a few weeks ago. old bloke was made up with it, had spent tens of thousands restoring what would be a never ending job, but it was still in rock ferry. i've worked for good people in some bad parts of the wirral and vise versa. some arseholes in heswall and caldy ..... does paul ince still live there ..... :RpS_unsure: the father in law drinks in the dee view and they all hated the coont. used to park his range rover across the car park so people would have to come in and ask who's it was so they could get out. utter wankshaft

Doubt ince stayed. Rafa still has his residence on the wirral. So do a few ex reds n blues. I got wed over there. Had me reception at Hillbark, top night.
