Quiet periods

How did the get broken, that's a sad story, poor boards

The telehandler driver is an ex drill sargeant, and he shouted at them as they were being delivered. As you know, 96% of Fermacell boards are raised by their mothers only,as the fathers leave them because Fermacell mums turn really ugly after board birth. This makes the young Fermacell boards little sissies who cry a lot and don't like raised voices. The boards on this site just started crumbling. Sad but true. There is a TV appeal at the moment, where just £2 a month will pay for reconstructive surgery to make a Fermacell mum pretty again.

I usually find it quite at this time of year as most people are still recovering from Christmas. The only jobs we keep getting asked to do are rendering jobs which are virtually impossible at this time of year

You need to use your quiet /slow times to work on other aspects of business.

iv only worked on Wednesday this week, but have plenty lined up, I priced 10 jobs so that will take me a few hours to get those quotes sent out.

other things I do to keep me busy but work related.

re-writing all the content on my website which hopefully will be updated soon
chasing up the guy who is suppose to be pricing the sign writing for my van and truck
running low on leaflets and cards, so will be re-designing those
visited a supplier of external decorative eps quoins, sills, heads etc
visited a supplier of replica timber beams
get my books & receipts in order as I want them doing as soon as the tax year ends
fix desktop PC

plenty of work related things to do to keep me busy, I get really depressed just sat at home doing fook all, plus all of the above will help towards not having quiet periods in future.

what are you talking about plastering is easy and it keeps you fit.

hi malc
gets a bit harder when you turn 50 + and have been plastering 34 + years ----- i sound like a dinosaur :RpS_scared::RpS_lol: however i find pole dancing easier :RpS_blushing::RpS_lol:

you are only a boy i was plastering before you where born. signed apprenticeship in 1963. i do not have any aches or pains nor do i feel tired.
perhaps you had better go and get a check up!

hi malc

you must be 1 of the luck ones, or have you got special powers ------ however i did work with a fibrous plasterer who was well into his 70s before retiring gracefully - one of the best plasterers i every worked with :RpS_thumbsup::RpS_biggrin:

Why do we have quiet periods?

im having one at the moment....is it weather related? Bad timing after the Christmas blow out?

I mention weather as do people really want a tradesman walking in and out the house when it's freezing cold, windy rainy etc

please no comments like "Im always busy" as I'm not bothered and you're not answering my question

cheers

Quiet periods might be the onset of the menopause. Have you consulted a doctor?

I used to be a fat plasterer, now I'm inbetween chubby and fat, used to sweat like a pig and would need clean kecks and tshirt after a busy shift

i served my time with a very fat plasterer dident stop him doing a good days work his wife was a very good cook and his lunch box was huge

sitting here waiting for a huckleberry chicken order to arrive haha:RpS_blushing:

Have you got a thing about people with big cocks flynny or were you just trying to make polite moderator conversation

I will never look at a lunch box the same again all I'm going to see is Lynford Christie asking me to shag him

poor sod? **** me you're from Birmingham the second most shite uk City other than Doncaster

In, not from. :RpS_biggrin:

As for shite city rankings, Leicester is definitely in the top 5. There are no doubt a good few that would equal it, but Leicester's size means that there is more shiteness to go round. :RpS_lol:
